I’ve added likes to my page. You can now send me a little +1 and it will be shown at the bottom of the page. Isn’t that nice? You can attach your name to it and even have it link back to your site.

I still miss the feeling of someone out there sending a little ping that they like what I post. Cohost showed the nice effect of not showing a public Number on your posts, so showing a list at the bottom kind of goes against that. But I’m willing to try this out to see what happens. I think the ability to attach a link to your like could be nice - another way of linking between personal sites on the small internet. If we want to move away from social media we will need links. We need a way to find one another.

I have no idea if this will work out well. It could be that I get spammed to smithereens. At the moment, every like is manually approved by me. I hope filtering out spam likes will not be a burden. I’m not that keen on adding gobs of javascript for captcha things or such.

If it works out I might add the ability to comment too.
