I was really into doing stuff with cfdg in 2012. I think this was my first foray into making art using code. Later I would start doing elaborate animations using Processing and even later, shadertoy.
I had this idea of doing something inspired by cloud chambers. Draw little streaks of particles, some decaying into multiple different particles, some with charge causing their paths to bend. This turned into this idea of a single particle ricocheting against the walls confinig it, causing violent reactions and electrical discharges.
I absolutely loved the way the lightning effects came out and I still love them.
