Just out of the blue I receive a boomkat newsletter informing me that the Xerrox series by Alva Noto has been completed. The first one was released in 2007 and I have a distinct memory of listening to it on my mp3 player while visiting Svalbard with my sister and dad. The second one I received in the mail shortly after release while I was sick and I remember being half asleep, fever dreaming, as the album descends into a darker and harsher environment and how disorienting (but in a good way) that felt.

The raster-noton label had a huge impact on my music tastes in my late teens / early twenties. Maybe I should do a review of each entry of the series. Then again, writing about music is really not my forte. We’ll have to see.
